These terms govern your use of WineBuds. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using WineBuds, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be of legal drinking age in your country to use the app. You agree to provide accurate information when creating events or reviews.
3. Hosting & Attending Events
Hosts are responsible for the events they list, including providing accurate venue details, ensuring their venue is safe and lawful, and confirming guests are of legal drinking age. Guests attend events at their own risk. WineBuds facilitates discovery and booking but is not a party to the tasting itself.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Hosts: your wines ship once 4 guests have booked and paid. If fewer than 4 guests are booked and paid 5 days before the tasting, the event is automatically cancelled — unless you choose to pay for the wines to be delivered to you anyway. Guests: you may cancel and receive a refund only before the wines have been shipped. Once the wines have been dispatched, your booking cannot be cancelled or refunded; it can only be rescheduled to another date with the host's agreement.
5. Reviews & Ratings
You may submit reviews and ratings for hosts and guests. You agree to keep reviews honest, lawful, and free of abusive or defamatory content. We may remove reviews that violate these terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the app to post unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or infringing content, or to disrupt the community. Violations may result in suspension or removal of your account.
7. Intellectual Property
The app, its design, and the WineBuds brand are owned by us. Your tasting notes and reviews remain yours, but you grant us a licence to display them within the app. Do not copy or redistribute app content without permission.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any event will take place as described. WineBuds is not the host, seller of wine, or a party to any tasting arranged through the app. We are not responsible for the conduct of hosts or guests, the wine or its delivery, the venue, or any loss, injury, or damage arising from an event.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may stop using the app and request account deletion at any time.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
