WineBuds Host Agreement

By ticking the agreement box when publishing your tasting, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms as a WineBuds Host.

1. Host Eligibility & Responsibilities

☑I am not a professional wine seller or business. I am hosting this tasting as a private, non-commercial event for personal enjoyment and education.
☑I am over 18 years old and will ensure all guests are 18+ (ID checks may be required).
☑I have the legal right to host this event at the specified location (e.g., my home, private venue). The space is mine or I have explicit permission to use it for this purpose.
☑I will not sell wine or any other products during the event. WineBuds provides the wine for tasting purposes only.

☑I understand that once the wines are shipped, I cannot cancel the event. Rescheduling is the only option.
☑I will provide accurate details about the event (date, time, location, guest capacity) and update WineBuds immediately if anything changes.
☑I will confirm guest attendance and ensure no uninvited attendees join the event.
☑I will follow WineBuds' 5-point tasting method and encourage guests to engage respectfully.

☑I acknowledge that wines may occasionally be faulty (e.g., corked, oxidized), though this is rare. WineBuds is not responsible for such issues, as they are beyond our control.
☑All content provided by WineBuds (e.g., tasting notes, videos, guides) belongs exclusively to WineBuds and cannot be copied, duplicated, shared, or used elsewhere without explicit written permission. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

☑I confirm this event complies with UK laws, including: Alcohol licensing — I am not selling alcohol (private tastings are exempt under UK law if no sale occurs). Health & Safety — I will ensure the venue is safe (e.g., no hazards, proper ventilation, and cleanliness). Insurance — I understand that WineBuds is not responsible for any accidents, damages, or injuries during the event. I am solely liable for my venue and guests.
☑I will not serve alcohol to intoxicated guests and will encourage responsible consumption.
☑I will report any incidents (e.g., damages, injuries, or disruptive behavior) to WineBuds immediately.

☑WineBuds is not responsible for: any damages, injuries, or losses occurring at my event; guest behavior (e.g., theft, property damage, or disputes); wine quality or delivery issues (beyond shipping errors); any legal or financial consequences arising from my event; illegal activities at the event, including but not limited to drug use, theft, or any other unlawful behavior. I am fully responsible for ensuring my event complies with all applicable laws.
☑WineBuds' only obligation is to provide the agreed-upon wines and tasting materials. All other responsibilities lie with me, the host.

☑I will verify all guests are 18+ and have agreed to WineBuds' Guest Terms (if applicable).
☑I will not allow guests to pay me directly for the tasting. All payments must go through the WineBuds app.
☑I will inform guests of the event's house rules (e.g., no smoking, no pets, respect the space).
☑Photos and videos are allowed during the event, but I will ask guests for consent before taking or sharing any images or videos where they are identifiable.

☑I will not host the event in a public space (e.g., parks, bars) unless explicitly approved by WineBuds.
☑I will not charge guests extra fees beyond the WineBuds app's booking system.
☑I will not use WineBuds' name or logo for personal promotion without permission.
☑I will not host events that violate local laws (e.g., unlicensed alcohol sales, noise ordinances).

☑WineBuds reserves the right to remove my event if it violates these terms.
☑WineBuds may suspend or ban my account at any time, without justification or prior notice.
☑WineBuds may withhold wines or refunds if I cancel after shipping (rescheduling is the only option).

☑I agree to indemnify WineBuds against any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from my event or my actions as a host.
☑These terms are governed by UK law, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
☑I have read and understood these terms and agree to comply with them.
